The Prime Minister told delegates the couple had been attending Hillsong Conference for many years and recalled a previous conference when Singaporean pastor Joseph Prince (who is a guest speaker again this year) had been preaching about how the disciple John referred to himself as “the one who God loved”, saying that it wasn’t a special title, but one that applied to all Christians.
“Our nation needs more prayer!” — Prime Minister Scott Morrison
The PM told the packed room of 21,000 conference attendees “That’s what we all need. That’s what our country needs. That’s what our nation needs. That’s what we’re here to do as Christians. Not here to judge. Not here to lecture. Just here to show the amazing love of God.”
Prime Minister Scott Morrison attended the opening night of Hillsong Conference with his wife Jenny.
“My job is the same as yours: love God, love people. We’ve all got the same job,” he said.
The PM went on to pray for what he described as “some very important things”: veterans doing it tough; young people who are considering suicide; those facing the challenges of middle-age; remote Indigenous communities; people with disabilities; and for rain that would break the drought.
Houston asked him about Morrison’s now-famous victory speech line: “I believe in miracles”, asking if ScoMo really does believe in miracles.
“Yes I do!” replied Mr Morrison enthusiastically. “Our daughter was born on the 7/7/2007, after 17 years of waiting!”
“… This country needs more love and less judgment.”
Asked how Christians could pray for him, the PM replied, “Firstly topray! Our nation needs more prayer!”
“And humility of leadership, and the wisdom to see what He sees and to move towards that,” Morrison continued.
“And to have grace. Grace really is amazing,” he said, joining in the audience’s laughter and adding “Someone really should write a song about that!”
“There’s a lot of talk about freedoms as Christians in this country. Freedom of belief is fundamental in this country – whatever that belief might be. Whether you have one or you don’t!”
He recalled hearing stories of missionaries in Soviet Russia – Christians under persecution – saying “you didn’t hear stories about them complaining about their rights… They were just loving in that situation and they were out there for God. That was their response and this country needs more love and less judgment,” Morrison said.
Houston questioned whether the PM believes that religious freedoms for Christians would be secured for the future. Morrison said that he did, and that he’s always felt passionately about the subject.
“And of course we will do what we need to do from a legislative point of view.”
“But what all that boils down to is the culture in this country. It’s not the laws that make freedom of religion work, it’s the culture that accepts it. So I speak about my faith… because I want everyone in this place to feel comfortable talking about faith in this country. It’s not a political agenda, it’s who we are.”
Jenny Morrison told the crowd “Nothing is impossible for God!” and joked “I didn’t choose this, Scott chose this and I chose Scott.”
Morrison has had a long association with Hillsong Church as a fellow Pentecostal, leading to widespread confusion amongst the general public (including mainstream media) about whether Morrison is a Hillsong attendee.
In fact, Morrison attends Horizon Church, which used to be called ‘Shire Live’ – a church planted by Pastor Michael Murphy, who was once a pastor at Hillsong. But in 2008, Mr Morrison did pay tribute to Pastor Brian Houston when delivering his maiden speech in Australian Federal Parliament,
“Growing up in a Christian home, I made a commitment to my faith at an early age and have been greatly assisted by the pastoral work of many dedicated church leaders, in particular the Reverend Ray Green and pastors Brian Houston and Leigh Coleman,” Morrison said at the time.
The Hillsong Conference appearance is good timing for the PM who is in the process of drafting a Religious Freedom Bill amid a fierce public debate and who will be hoping to shore up the support of Christians.
So far, debate around the Bill has been around whether to support a “Religious Discrimination Bill” mirroring other anti-discrimination acts, or a tougher “Religious Freedom Bill” which would give extra protections for Christians.
Houston has previously offered a pragmatic approach to the hot-button issue, publishing an opinion piece in the Sydney Morning Herald entitled ‘A message to Folau: The world doesn’t need more judgmental Christians’.
“The problem with harsh comments in the media and disparaging statements on social media is that they create a further wedge between God and people,” wrote Houston.
Mr Morrison isn’t the first politician to attend Hillsong Conference, nor is he likely to be the last. And, it may surprise some to know that, in the past, politicians attending Hillsong Conference have not been the purview of conservative pollies alone.
In 2005, Prime Minister John Howard and Opposition Leader Kim Beazley both declined invitations to address the conference, sending apologies and stand-ins. Instead, NSW Premier Bob Carr addressed the conference.
“I like the idea of Christianity shorn of its medieval accretions. I like the idea of each believer reading the Bible and finding his or her path to individual salvation. I also like the spontaneity and informality of Hillsong’s worship. It’s actually very Australian,” Carr told the crowd.

DARTH VADER
by JAH
Who is DARTH VADER in REALITY?
(Yes Earth's REALITY)
What does JEDI mean? Could YOU complete "The Training"?
Where, on THIS planet, is ENDOR?
It IS on planet Earth.
What IS the "SONG of MOSES"?
For the answer we must turn to the Old Covenant/Testament, to the Fifth Book of Moses, in The Torah (Torah is the collective terminology for the five Books of Moses), called DEUTERONOMY, chapter 31 verse 19:-
"Now therefore write ye this "Song" for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this "Song" (The Covenant) may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel." (If they do not "learn it off by heart" so that they can, and do, "sing" it; and no-one can sing any song unless they "know it off by heart"). That is why God called it a "Song" to let you know that you must learn it off by heart.
The Sabbath (Saturday) was to be used to teach your children to sing this "Song", not hymns or rock and roll etc. but THIS "Song", without which you can NOT survive or live in peace and HARMONY with your fellow man.
The Unity, Sincerity, Oneness Of "I AM", Purity of Faith
112:1. Say: He is "I AM", the One and Only;
112:2. "I AM", the Eternal, Absolute;
112:3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
112:4. And there is none like unto Him.

HILLSONG CONFERENCE – SYDNEY’S GREATEST PROMOTER OF FALSE TEACHING
Joseph Prince - False Teacher
JOSEPH PRINCE is a Charismatic False Teacher of what is called "Radical Grace", and is a False Prophet who is sadly involved in the Prosperity gospel. His real name before he changed it is:
Xenonamander Jegahusiee Singh. He was born in 1963, and he and his wife
WENDY PRINCE are the Senior Pastors of:
New Creation Church in Singapore. He helped to be one of the Founders of this church in 1983 when he was only 20 years old, and at that time they had around 25 people in attendance...now as of 2015-2016 it has over 31,000. Joseph Prince has a Book and a Television program called
"Destined to Reign"which began airing in 2007...and another book called
"Unmerited Favor." His theological background is the
Word of Faith Prosperity Gospel Movement. He admits to being a Word of Faith Prosperity Teacher here:
QUOTE by JOSEPH PRINCE: “Now I've been in the Word of Faith circle and I find that Word of Faith preachers know about favor. Churches of faith know about favor. The thing that I wish many of them would say though would be this - to use that phase - "undeserved favor". Favor is good and the teaching of favor has produced tremendous testimonies but I would rather the Word of Faith preachers like myself use undeserved favor because that's the true definition of grace. Now I didn't learn amazing grace from Word of Faith though I'm a Word of Faith preacher. I had to learn that truly struggling on my own.” [End of Quote]
He has a working knowledge of Greek and Hebrew which makes him come across as if he knows what he's talking about.. but when we search the scriptures (i.e. Acts 17:11) with what he teaches we see that he has sadly taken much scripture out of it's proper context. He mixes TRUTH with ERROR. He also talks about GRACE as a MOTHER..? QUOTE by JOSEPH PRINCE: "Having the same MOTHER. We have the same heavenly Father and the same MOTHER GRACE. And our mother isNOT LAW." (Mother Grace?) See one of the Videos below about this.
Some of the many Biblical
RED FLAGS as well as the
Unbiblical Word of Faith Prosperity Gospel about Joseph Prince is that:
1 - He Claims to hear the voice of God OUTSIDE of Scripture - i.e. so-called "WORDS OF KNOWLEDGE". Joseph Prince says in 1997 while on vacation with his wife:
QUOTE: “I distinctly heard the voice of the Lord on the inside. It wasn’t a witness of the Spirit. It was a voice, and I heard God say clearly to me: “Son, you are not preaching grace.” I said, “What do You mean, Lord? That’s a low blow. That’s a real low blow!” I added, “I’m a preacher of grace. I have been a grace preacher for years, and like most preachers, I preach that we are saved by grace!” He (ie the LORD) said, “No. Everytime you preach grace, you preach it with a mixture of law. You attempt to balance grace with the law, like many other preachers, and the moment you balance grace, you neutralize it. You cannot put new wine into old wineskins. You cannot put grace and law together.” He went on to say, “Son, a lot of preachers are not preaching grace the way Apostle Paul preached grace.” He then ended emphatically with this statement that revolutionized my ministry: “If you don’t preach grace radically, people’s lives will never be radically blessed and radically transformed.”That powerful word from the Lord jolted me, and I realized for the first time that I had indeed been preaching a grace message that was tempered with the law. I returned to my church with a strong mandate from the Lord and I began to preach grace radically.” (Joseph Prince, Destined To Reign)." (THIS IS EXTRA-BIBLICAL andFALSE TEACHING)
2 - His Theology is deep into the "Word of Faith" Prosperity Gospel - QUOTE by JOSEPH PRINCE: "I give thanks for God for my ROOTS in the WORD OF FAITH TEACHINGS. It is truly on the shoulders of GREAT MEN OF GOD like brotherKENNETH E. HAGIN (MAJOR FALSE TEACHER) that we are able to see further into the Word of God today." -- "Destined to Reign" Book by Joseph Prince Page 271 (Year: 2007)
- Revelation 2:2 Jesus says, "I know ALL the things you DO. I have seen your Hard Work & your Patient Endurance. I know you DON'T TOLERATE EVIL PEOPLE. You have EXAMINED the CLAIMS of those who SAY they are APOSTLES but are NOT. You have DISCOVERED they are LIARS. You have Patiently Suffered for Me without Quitting...(6) You HATE THE EVIL DEEDS of the Nicolaitans, just as I do."
